Project: Learning Single-Particle Cryogenic Electron Microscopy to study spontaneous and chaperone-assisted folding of large proteins
Training: PhD in (bio) physics, chemistry, or materials science and related disciplines
Experience and skills: In molecular biology/protein engineering are essential and some previous experience in structure reconstruction techniques is desirable although not “a must”. The successful candidate will learn cutting edge SP cryo EM techniques at excellent Duke University cryo EM facilities and will then apply the newly gained skills to study folding pathways of large proteins as well as resolving structurally their complexes with relevant chaperones.
